I am currently working as General Manager with Samsung R&D.
I am also a Senior Member of the IEEE. I served as the Chair of the IEEE Sensors Council, Bangalore Chapter during 2022-2024.
My research interests are machine learning, telecom AI, health informatics and brain computer interfaces.
Work Experience
Prior to Samsung, I was a Senior Data Scientist with the Global AI Accelerator at Ericsson R&D. I also worked with the Center for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), a prestigious R&D lab of the Govt. of India, with their Health Informatics Group during 2011-2021. During 2010-2011, I was with the Mobility Group at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
Education
I hold a Ph.D. in Machine Learning from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. My thesis “Empirical Methods for Minimizing Structural Risk” investigated model complexity in machine learning models.
